If your pet needs to be referred you must discuss this first with your veterinary surgeon who will contact us on your behalf for the referral and then we will contact you directly for the appointment time. If your pet needs to be seen urgently, your vet will need to telephone us in order to arrange the appointment for you.

If your vet is unable to provide you with our information sheets including our location, please click here to download a map

Your vet will have downloaded our referral form and sent it to us, this will provide us with basic details of your pet’s clinical history, they may also have provided us with a detailed history (inc x rays) or they may ask you to bring that with you to your first appointment, It is always wise to make sure that the detailed history is here or that you have a copy to bring with you (inc x rays).
Please also bring all relevant insurance details with you if your pet is insured, including a blank claim form.

Your appointment

We much prefer that you, the owner (rather than an agent such as a friend, neighbour or driver) bring your pet to us. This is because we will be asking detailed questions about your pet’s history and expecting to deal with the person who has responsibility for decision-making, not only regarding treatment for your pet but also with respect to financial considerations.

We would be grateful if you could arrive a few minutes before your appointment time so that our reception staff have time to register you before your appointment.

Insurance claims

Under normal circumstances, we ask that you pay us at the time of treatment and claim back the funds from the insurance company yourself. You will need to check with your insurance company about your level of cover, any exclusions you may have and what excess you will need to pay. We will do our best to help with this process, but insurance companies often prefer to deal with the policyholder.
